The DFL came into being in its modern form when the Minnesota Democratic and Farmer–Labor parties merged in April 1944. The DFL is unique to Minnesota.
In the DFL, the County Unit (Senate District) is the lowest formally organized unit.
S.D. 15 DFL represents the St. Cloud area.
We're Moving Forward!
- The 2008 elections were won by sustained and smart work every day of the year!
- We are developing a strong and much larger base of DFL members who will be poised and eager to help in campaigns now and beyond, whether for local candidates or statewide and national ones.
- Committees are working tirelessly and steadily:
- communications
-
- social events
-
- outreach and community service
-
- education and issues
-
- party organization and volunteers
-
- fund raising
- SD15 organizes the Precinct Caucuses
- Events are held across the year:
- Soup and Bread Social
- Pizza Feast
- Summer Picnic
- Wellstone Dinner
- Holiday Party
- Parades
- All these efforts are conducted with the aim of inspiring the minds and hearts and engaging the energies not only of already committed DFLers, but also of the many voters whose concerns and values resonate with the DFL but who have not yet seen the party as a champion for what matters to them.
